About Me

I’m alice turner

While working with dads and partners during a couples’ childbirth class, I was surprised by how much more engaged and inquisitive they were than in the traditional group setting. I spoke with doctors, midwives and other doulas and quickly identified the need for a convenient way to prep partners for their support role during labor and birth. The SupportingHer online course was born!

Prior to becoming a doula and Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, I received a Biomedical Engineering degree from Vanderbilt University with a minor in Computer Science and spent my early professional life working as a database programmer in healthcare.

While not educating and supporting families during the childbirth period, you can find me with my husband and 4 kids enjoying our life in Seattle and planning our next family Halloween costume.
